the Holy Ganges emanates and which houses four of the most revered shrines of the Hindu religion -- are considered especially holy. The jeep safari takes
you to the holiest of these four shrines, Badrinath. Skanda Purana says "there are many shrines on earth, heaven and hell but none has been nor will
be like Badrinath".This enormous lush green valley & extensive plateaus with its snow covered peaks, inspires awe in any one who visits it. The safari
also takes you to the Auli ski slopes which has the longest cable car service in India

ARRIVE HARIDWAR > CAMP DAY 1

Arrive Haridwar. Meeting & transfer to Beach Tented Camp. Arrive camp for lunch.
After lunch camp orientation and then drive to Rishikesh for half day sight seeing tour
Visit temples, Ashrams, Yoga centres, Ram and Lakshman Jhulas, the largest suspension bridge in India.
before returning to your camp site. Dinner & Overnight at Beach Tented Camps at Shivpuri

BEACH CAMP > RISHIKESH > AULI DAY 2

Morning after breakfast, start Jeep Safari with drive to Joshimath (8 hrs.) on a mountainous road along the
Ganga and later by the Alaknanda rivers. Take a 3.9 km cable car (the longest in Asia) to the scenic
and picturesque Auli Ski resort. Excellent views of the Garhwal Himalayas including Nanda Devi
(the second highest mountain in India) are available from here. Later On arrival check into Auli Tourist Bunglows.
After lunch time at leisure. Dinner & Overnight in Tourist Bunglow

AULI > JOSHIMATH > BADRINATH DAY 3

Morning after breakfast your Safari drive takes you to Badrinath (2 hrs) situated on the banks of Alaknanda.
Standing like twin centinels over the valley are Nar and Narain Parvat and in the distance one can see the
Nilkanth peak (6597 mts.). The famous Hindu Shrine of Badrinath (3110 mts) dedicated to lord Vishnu
is in the lap of Narain Parvat with the Nilkanth peak in the background. On arrival check into Skylark
Camp Resort . After lunch a short hiking tour takes us to the Village of Mana - the last village of this
border town. A further half a kms brings us to Bhimpool, where as per local yore river Saraswati
originates from within the mountains and where Bhima, of Mahabharata fame, thru a rock as big
as a mountain to make a pass, for them to carry on with their final slavation yatra to heaven.
A beautiful walk along the river side amongst lush green plateaus. Return to Camp by evening.
If time permits one can venture another 5kms uphill to Vasundra Falls. Dinner & overnight in camp.

BADRINATH > JOSHIMATH > DOGALBITTA DAY 4

Morning after breakfast, after a brief visit to the Badrinath Temple, we move onwards to Dogalbitta.
Enroute stop for an early lunch at Joshimath before proceedings to Dogalbitta (4 hrs). Located at 2347m,
it is a high altitude alpine meadow with great views of the Himalayan ranges.
Balance time at leisure. Dinner & overnight in camps set up at Dogalbitta.

DOGALBITTA > CHOPTA DAY 5

Morning after breakfast, Drive from Dogalbitta to Chopta (7 kms) for a 3. 5 km trek to the Tungnath Temple
situated at 3680m. The famous temple is set on the crest of a hill and from here one can view the peaks
of Panch Chuli, Nanda Devi and Kedarnath and the panoramic view of the Garhwal Himalayas makes
the visit worthwhile. We carry packed lunch. Return to Dogalbitta camp for dinner & overnight stay

DOGALBITTA > UTTARKASHI DAY 6

Today after breakfast we continue with the Jeep Safari and drive for 8 hrs to Uttarkashi.
Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi river and is a small town of historical monuments, temples,
ashrams and dharmshalas. Lunch enroute at local restrauant. On arrival check into hotel. Evening you can
stroll down to the local market, which though colourful, is dirty & crowded. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

UTTARKASHI > GANGOTRI > UTTARKASHI DAY 7

After an early breakfast, embark on the 97 kms day excursion to Gangotri close to the source of Ganga
River (4 hrs). The drive is along the ancient pilgrimage route and is very scenic. This sacred shrine,
situated at an altitude of 3200 mt is the source of the river Bhagirathi. It is surrounded by the mountain
peaks of Shivalik, Satopanth and Bhagirathi Sisters. The temple located nearby is a recent addition.
Legend say that the Pandavas conducted Deva Yagna here to atone for the killings in the Mahabharata war.
The widely believed mythological anecdote about Gangotri is that Lord Shiva sat on this rock Shivalinga in
the river while taking the brunt of the fall of the Ganga in his lock of hair so that the impact is not much
on the earth. On arrival, lunch in a local restrauant After lunch visit the Gangotri Temple.
Return to Uttarkashi for dinner & overnight stay in hotel

UTTARKASHI > MUSSOORIE DAY 8

Early morning after breakfast, drive for 7 hrs to Mussoorie (1921m), with its green hills and varied
flora & fauna, is a facinating hill resort. Commanding snow ranges to the north-east, and glittering
views of the Doon Valley & Shiwalik ranges in the south, the town presents a fairyland atmosphere
to the tourists. Arrive by lunch & check into hotel Savoy. Afternoon take an easy stroll along
the winding Charles ville road which leads one to the pine scented Happy Valley and the Tibetan
township. Visit the cliff hung Buddhist shrine with ceremonial trumpets and acolytes reciting
ancient scriptures. Return to hotel for dinner & overnight

MUSSOORIE > DEHARADUN DAY 9

Morning after a leisurly breakfast, visit Kempty falls or take a cable car ride.
After lunch transfer to Dehradun railway station/ airport to travel for onward destination.

You have the option of extending your stay in Delhi and visit Agra & Jaipur
