11 km from Ajmer, in Rajasthan, on the edge of the desert lies the tiny tranquil town
of Pushkar along the bank of the picturesque pushkar lake an important pilgrimage spot for the Hindus.The 'Nag pahar' or the snake
mountain forms a natural boundary between Ajmer and Pushkar. Surrounded by hills on three sides, Pushkar abounds in temples.
Of  these the most famous is the Brahma temple - the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma in the country.The lake has a mythological
significance associated with it. According to myth, Lord Brahma was on his way to search for a suitable place to perform a "Yagna'
(a fire sacrifice) while contemplating, a lotus fell from his hand on the warth and water sprouted from three places. One of them was
Pushkar where Lord Brahma performed his yagna. The holy lake has 52 ghats and piligrim taking a ritual dip in the lake is a common
sight. Every year thousands of devotees throng the lake around the full moon day of Kartik Purnima in October  November to take a
holy dip in the lake. A huge and colourful cattle fair the pushkar fair, is also held during this time.Dance music and colourful shops
spring up during this fair. Also on sale are mouth-watering traditional delicacies. Colourfully attired village folk enhance the fun
of the occasion. A host of  cultural event against the backdrop of this pretty setting are also organised including
attractive puppet shows. Cattle auction and camel races are also a part of the festivities.

are bought, sold, beautified, raced and paraded on the sand. In fact, the fair is predominantly a rural gathering, where villagers
from different parts of  the state of Rajasthan, comes with their animals and lakes are flooded with the pilgrims for the Holy baths.
The evenings are possessed with its own charm, lighted diyas creates a spectacular view on the scared lake. The silent night pierced
by camel calls, folk lores, dramas and heart throbbing beats of folk music and dances.The fair attracts a great number of tourists from
far and wide. The fair grounds reverberate with festivity, as rows of make shift stalls display a bewildering array items. Body
tattooing is yet another favorite activity. The profusion of colors that run riot in the desert sand, the glee and the contagious
enthusiasm of the village folk are a unique experience for every visitor. Moreover it gives the visitor an opportunity
to experience other destiantions of  this Princly State of Rajasthan.

DAY 01 - 06 Nov 2008 ARRIVE DELHI
On arrival, meeting, assistance and transfer to SAHARA hotel.Afternoon proceed for half day guided tour
of New Delhi. The buildings designed by Edward Lutyens, architect of modern Delhi - are truly majestic.
The Presidential Palace, Parliament House and India Gate are all reminiscent of the British “Raj”.
We drive through Delhi’s beautiful tree-lined avenues and the Diplomatic Enclave enroute to the
12th century, 234 foot high fluted minaret  of  Qutab Minar. Return to hotel for Overnight.
DAY 02 - 07 November  DELHI > JAIPUR
Morning after breakfast, depart by surface for the City of Jaipur - an exuberance of colour, dance &
song with traditional arts and crafts. Known as the 'Pink City' is one of India's most well planned cities
with wide straight avenues, roads, streets and lanes in a grid system. A 4 hours drive gets us to this
land of Maharaja's, forts & Palaces and diversity of colours & culture,  that is unique to the State of
Rajasthan. On arrival check- in at HARI MAHAL PALACE hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of the city
palace, palace museum,  the Jai Singh's observatory, Hawa Mahal ( Palace of winds) & Albert
hall museum. Return to hotel via Johari Bazar ( Gem Market) & Curio shops. Overnight in hotel.
DAY 03 -  08 November JAIPUR > PUSHKAR
Morning after breakfast, depart by car for Pushkar. Later on arrival at Pushkar, check into PUSHKAR
PALACE HOTEL. Afternoon free to observe fair ground activities. Evening watch cultural
programmes, folk dances, camel races etc. before retiring for Dinner and Overnight.
DAY 04 -  09 November AT PUSHKAR
After breakfast, day at Pushkar Mela. Spend the day walking through the traditional decorated fair
ground and view various activities, like – dance, camel races and many more. Overnight in hotel.
DAY 05 - 10 November AT PUSHKAR
After breakfast, day at Pushkar Mela. Walk to Brahma Temple, located across the fair grounds, go for
a hot ballon ride, try your hand at body tattoing, consult a local astrologer, watch camels racing,
enjoy cultural dances & let the festive spirits overtake you. Return for overnight in tents
DAY 06 - 11 November PUSHKAR > AJMER > JAIPUR
Early morning visit the bathing ghats of Pushkar, where thousands of pilgrims take the holy bath everyday
As they approach the close,  fair activities are at its upbeat. Spend time at the fair grounds before returning
to your Palace Resort, for breakfast and after, check out formalities. Proceed by surface for Ajmer - A land of
composite culture. It is a popular pilgrimage center for the Hindus as well as Muslims. On arrival visit the
Especially famous Dargah Sharif - Tomb of  Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chist, with a splendid marble
dome in the centre of the second courtyard, surrounded by a silver platform. In the corner of the inner court
of the Dargah, is a magnificent building known as Shahjhan’s Mosque in white marble with a long (30.5m)
and narrow court having low arcade and delicate carvings with trellis-work. It is the most marvelous of all
the sanctums within the sanctuary of the Dargah.The shrine is next only to Mecca or Median for the Muslims
of south Asia. Also visit the Adhai-din-ka-jhonpra: A remarkable structure- this is a masterpiece of Indo-Islamic
architecture, located on the outskirts, of the city,  just beyond the Dargah. Later drive on to Jaipur. And on arrival
check into HARI MAHAL PALACE Hotel. Balance time free for personal activities. Overnight stay in hotel.
DAY 07 - 12 November JAIPUR > FATHEPUR SIKRI > AGRA
After breakfast, visit the magnificient Amer Fort, located outside Jaipur city on a hilltop where you ascend
on Elephant's back to the gates of the Fort. After visit, depart by surface for the Mughal splendour of Agra -
City of Taj. En route stop to visit Fathepur Sikri built in red sandstone, was the political capital of India's
Mughal Empire under Akbar's reign, from 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned, ostensibly due to lack of
water. Sikri shared its imperial duties as a capital city with Agra, where a bulk of the arsenal, treasure hoards,
and other reserves were kept at its Red Fort for security. During a crisis, the court, harem, and treasury could
be removed to Agra, only 26 miles away, less than a day's march. Built in honor of Sufi saint Salim Chishti
in 1571 by Mughal emperor Akbar, who foretold the birth of 3 sons to the Emperor, is an example of robust
stability combined with originality. Each important edifice here represents a type by itself. Notable among
them are the Diwane Khas, Punch Mahal, the Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Buland Darwaza. Later drive
on to Agra and check-in to PUSHP VILLA. Evening is free for own activities. Overnight stay in hotel.
DAY 08 - 13 November AGRA > DELHI
After breakfast, visit the incomparable Taj Mahal. This monument a fine example of fusion of many
architectural styles is one of the wonders of the modern world. Built in 1652 by Emperor ShahJahan,
It took 22 years and 20,000 skilled artisans to complete this poem in white marble. Next visit Agra Fort
which lies across the River Jamuna. It was here that Aurangzeb the 3rd son of Shah Jahan kept his father
under house arrest, followed by a visit to  Itmaudualla, mosoleum built by Queen Noor Jahan in memory
of her parents. Drive on to Delhi , En Route visiting Sikandra, tomb of the Mughal Emperor, Akbar the
Great. Later on arrival check into SAHARA hotel. Balance time at leisure. Overnight in hotel.
DAY 09 - 14 November DEPART DELHI
After breakfast, proceed for half day guided city tour of Old Delhi. Explore the magnificent Red Fort, built
at the zennith of the Mughal empire in India. The centuries- old international market- place that sprawls
at its feet is still one of Delhi’s most important commercial hubs: Chandni Chowk, or “Moonlight Square”.
Walk through the bustling silver market and the wholesale spice market. The sounds, smells and colors of
the bazaar, and the throngs of people who animate it makes this an unforgettable spectacle. Visit Jumma
Masjid, the largest mosque in Asia and Raj Ghat - final resting place of Mahatma Gandhi, before returning
to hotel to complete Check -out formalities. Afternoon free to explore the exotic markets, boutiques and art
galeries of Delhi. (Vehicle with driver at disposal) . Later in time transfer to the International airport
to connect flight for onward journey ( Room till 12 Noon)
