KEDARNATH - VASU KI TAL

For the most adventurous trekkers, with fundamental knowledge of the mountains, this trek provides a rare experience.
The trek takes one from Kedarnath to Vasuki Tal after due acclimatization. This trek offers magnificent views of
several high altitude medows,lakes & peaks. It also gives one an opportunity to feel & see the religious sentiments
of the local folks, with an insight to age old traditional customs & rituals.

DAY 01

ARRIVE DELHI

On arrival you will be met by our representative and transfered to Hotel Meridian or similar. Afternoon half day
city tour of Old & New Delhi. Drive past Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Parliament house & Presidents Palace, visit
India Gate, Qutab Minar & a Modern Hindu temple. Evening free. Overnight in Hotel

DAY 02

DELHI/ HARIDWAR/ GAURIKUND

Early morning transfer to railway station to board superfast express train to Haridwar. Breakfast on board. Arrive
Haridwar and transfer to waiting car for your onward trip to Gaurikund by road- 9 hrs. Enroute stop for lunch.
Later on arrival, check into hotel / Tourist Bunglow. Balance day free. Dinner & overnight in hotel

DAY 03

GAURIKUND/ RAMBARA/ KEDARNATH

Morning after breakfast, start 14 Kms trek to Kedarnath.This is a steep climb through dense forests & beautiful waterfalls,
winding along the river Mandakini.The forest slowly gives way to splendid views of Mount Kedarnath (6940m)
On arrival locate camping site and pitch tents. Dinner & Overnight in tents

DAY 04

AT KEDARNATH

Morning after breakfast day free. Kedarnath is one of the most important Indian pilgrimage places. The temple, built in the
8th century and dedicated to the goddess Shiva, is magnificently surrounded with snow-capped peaks. Dinner & Overnight in tents.

DAY 05

KEDARNATH/ VASU KI TAL

Morning after breakfast, start trek to Vasu Ki - Tal (4898 M) a crystal clear pearl set in an unrivalled setting, a base for
Mt Satopanth and Mt Vasuki Parbat from where originates the Vasuki Ganga which mingles with the Mandakini at Sonprayag.
The Tal is about 1 km in radius and has clear glittering water. It is an continuous ascent along a goat trailoffering
panaromic view of the Chaukhamba peaks. The last 1 km is downhill. Later on arrival pitch tents. Dinner & overnight.

DAY 06

AT VASU KI TAL

Day free to relax, walk around, go swimming if you dare in the icy cold waters of this beautiful lake or try your hand
at fishing. Take a short trek to Paian Tal which is about 1. km to the north-west. This lake is even more beautiful. At the
bottom of it, you can see rectangular slabs of rocks, as if they have been placed there intentionally. The view of
Chaukhamba peaks and Mandakini valley is breathtaking. Lunch, Dinner & Overnight in tents

DAY 07

VASU KI TAL / KEDARNATH / GAURIKUND / RISHIKESH

Morning after breakfast, start trek to Kedarnath. On reaching , after a quich break, start downhill decend to Gaurikund.
On arrival, halt for lunch. After lunch drive to Rishikesh and on arrival check into hotel. Rishikesh Situated on the right bank of
river Ganga and surrounded on 3 sides by Himalayan ranges, known from medieval time as celestial abode, is a great pilgrimage
centre of India, It has been the abode of saints and sages from where they sojourn before undertaking the arduous pilgrimage
that lay ahead on the distant Himalayan peaks.This gateway to the kingdom of Gods and pilgrimage to Badrinath, Kedarnath,
Gangotri and Yamunotri is culstered with Ashram, Tourist Rest House and Dharamsalas. The Yoga centres of Rishikesh have
enchanced the significance of the place, home and world wide tourist from all over the world visit this place to have
lessons in Yoga and Meditation. Evening drive to Haridwar to witness the evening Aarti (Prayers) Dinner & Overnight in Hotel

DAY 08

RISHIKESH / DELHI

Morning after breakfast, take a half day city tour, visiting the Ashrams, Lxman Jhoola (ancient rope bridge),Temples,
before returning to hotel for lunch. After lunch time free till departure transfer to Haridwar Railway Station to connect
superfast experess train at 1810 hrs for Delhi. ( Room occupancy till 12 noon & Dinner on Board). Later on arrival at
2210 hrs transfer to International airport to connect flight for onward destination.
