DODITAL - YAMNOTRI

Dodital is situated at an elevation of 3024m, north of Uttarkashi and is surrounded by dense woods of oak,
pine, deodar and rhododendrons. The crystal clear lake is full of rare fishes and the Himalayan golden trouts.
The trek commences from Uttarkashi to Kalyani by road. Kalyani to Agoda is a gradual climb through woods,fields
and villages on a mule track. The trek from Agoda to Dodital is steep and through thick forests

DAY 01

ARRIVE DELHI

On arrival you will be met by our representative and transfered to Hotel Meridian or similar. Afternoon half day
city tour of Old & New Delhi. Drive past Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Parliament house & Presidents Palace, visit
India Gate, Qutab Minar & a Modern Hindu temple. Evening free. Overnight in Hotel

DAY 02

DELHI > HARIDWAR > UTTARKASHI

Early morning transfer to railway station to board superfast express train to Haridwar. Breakfast on board. Arrive Haridwar
and transfer to waiting car for your onward trip to Uttarkashi by road-6 hrs. Enroute stop for lunch. Later on arrival, check
into hotel. Evening free to stroll around this small quient town, situated on the banks of the Ganges. Dinner & overnight in hotel

DAY 03

UTTARKASHI > KALYANI > AGODA > BEWARA

Morning after breakfast, drive to Kalyani -7 Kms away to start 5 Kms trek to Agoda Village, perched at 7600 ft. After
crossing a small bridge on Asi Ganga (Asi Ganga rises from Dodital and joins the Bhagirathi 4 kms north of Uttarkashi)
start steep ascent to Agoda Village, through thick jungles. Break for Tea at Village Agoda before proceeding
onwards to your camping grounds at Bewara-2 Kms away. On arrival pitch tents. Dinner & Overnight in tents.

DAY 04

BEWARA > MANJI

Morning after breakfast, start trek to Manji - 11 kms.The path is an easy, flat trail slowly winding up, besides a deep Gorge
Most of the path is thru dense forests and rhododendron trees. Stop for lunch at a roadside tea stall, before starting trek to
a small hamlet of local people, called Manji.It has one of the most beautiful camping sites, with a stream nearby.
On arrival pitch tents. Dinner & Overnight in tents.

DAY 05

MANJI > DODITAL

Morning after breakfast, start trek to Dodital - 5 kms. Located at 10000 ft this Lake is a visual treat. The forests are deep
and cover the high mountains on three sides, while a stram feeds the Lake & another one (Asi Ganga) is born of the overflow.
The path is a easy one and can be covered in 2 hours leisuly walking time. On arrival pitch tents. Day free to relax, walk
around, go swimming if you dare in the icy cold waters of this beautiful lake or try your hand at fishing.
Dodital is famous for its Himalayan Golden Trouts. Campfir with Dinner & Overnight in tents.

DAY 06

AT DODITAL

Morning after breakfast, Day free to relax, walk around, visit the Temple, go swimming if you dare in the icy cold waters
of this beautiful lake or try your hand at fishing. After Lunch take a nap. Campfir with Dinner & Overnight in tents

DAY 07

DODITAL > DARWA DHAR RIDGE

Morning after breakfast, Begin trek ascending the Darwa Dhar Ridge ( 4115 m ) - the watershed of the Ganga
and Yamuna River valleys. On arrival on top of ridge, pitch tents. After lunch, free. Dinner & Overnight in Tents.

DAY 08

DARWA DHAR TOP > MIDWAY TO HANUMANCHATTI

Morning after breakfast, Begin trek descending down the Darwa Dhar Ridge, towards the Yamuina valley.On arrival
midway to hanumanchatti, amidst thick green forests, set up camp. Lunch, Dinner & Overnight in tents.

DAY 09

ARRIVE AT HANUMANCHATTI

Morning after breakfast, Begin trek descending down the Darwa Dhar Ridge, towards Hanuman Chatti (2400m)
located on the banks of river Yamuna. On arrival check into Forest Lodge or set up tents for camping as per
situation. Balance day free to scout around this tiny hamlet. Lunch, Dinner & overnight in FRH/ Tents.

DAY 10

HANUMANCHATTI > YAMNOTRI

Morning after breakfast visit the Temple before start trek to the source of the river Yamuna; it is a gradual climb upto
Yamnotri ( 3185m ). We cover approx 10 Kms; 4-6 hrs of walking. On arrival pitch tents for dinner & overnight

DAY 11

YAMNOTRI > LAKHMANDAL > MUSSOORIE

Morning after breakfast - Trek down to the road-head and proceed by Jeep to the hill station Mussoorie- overlooking the
Doon valley. En-route visit Lakhamandal- a site associated with the heroes of the epic 'Mahabharata'. There is an ancient
temple and cave formations which are of interest. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Hotel at Mussoorie

DAY 12

MUSSOORIE > DEHRADUN > DELHI DEPARTURE

Morning after breakfast, day at leisure to explore the hill station of Mussorrie.After lunch, drive to Dehra Dun to board
the 1700 hrs Train to Delhi. 2230 hrs arrival at Delhi; proceed to the Airport for onward flight back home
