Visa Formalities
Visitors to Bhutan must either be guests of the government or tourists. All tourists must travel on a pre-planned, pre-paid,
guided package tour. Independent travel is not permitted. Other than Indian nationals, all visitors to Bhutan require a visa
approved prior to arriving in the kingdom. All visas are issued from Thimphu; and are issued to tourists booked with a licensed
tour operator, directly or through a foreign travel agent. Visa clearance takes at least 10 days to process. Air tickets to Bhutan
cannot be purchased without visa clearance.  A two-week visa costs US$20 and is stamped in your passport at Paro Airport
during the immigration process. Visas are approved and issued prior to entry, with the pre-payment of your travel itinerary. Therefore visitors to Bhutan need to finalize their travel plans well in advance. We recommend 90 days. Visas are issued for
a 15day period; extensions can be obtained in Thimphu at a cost of Nu.510. C'MORE can apply for an extension of  tourist
visas should a visitor wishes to remain in the kingdom for longer than two weeks.

All visa applications must reach C'MORe Travels & Tours at least 60 days prior to the intended arrival date, earlier if
traveling to the Kingdom in the peak months of September, October, November, March or April. Full passport details must
be faxed to C'MORE in order for the visa to be processed with the immigration authorities. We will advise your status
before your intended departure date. Please remember to bring 2 original passport-size photographs with you
to Bhutan as they will be required by the immigration authority at port of entry. The actual visas will be
issued in your passports at the entry points, either Paro airport or Phuentshiling (land entry)
 Accommodation
Hotels and tourist lodges in Bhutan are comfortable but not luxurious. Although recently a few luxury hotels have
been established in Bhutan, visitors in general can expect an unique combination of traditional Bhutanese style together
with modern services, but not international five-star luxury all over Bhutan! Clean and well maintained, most of the hotels
are equipped with telephones, fax machines and long distance service. The food offered to the visitors is carefully
prepared to suit the western taste combining Bhutanese food and western dishes. Hotels and lodges are categorized by
the Royal Government of Bhutan. International visitors will be accommodated in hotels only which fulfill the standards
set by the government. Some of the more simple lodges have a special charm of their own, and convince with the
traditional warm Bhutanese hospitality
