THE NUBRA VALLEY

The Nubra Valley - once on the trading route that connected eastern Tibet with Turkistan via the famous Karakoram
Pass, is the most recently opened area of Ladakh. Nubra invites you to a trip back in time into a nearly forgotten
'Shangri La'. With breathtaking views and delightfully hospitable inhabitants, it is quite an experience. Ladakh's
harsh winter makes this crossing possible only during the summer months-from June to August. The valley itself
lies at a lower elevation than the Leh Valley, making it very fertile so that kinds of grains and fruits including peaches being cultivated there. It is one of the last treasures of our planet, living in sheer isolation for most of the year in the heart of the great Himalayas. A real Shangri La, with no 'Baywatch', no mobile phones and no Ray Ban sunglasses

DAY 01

ARRIVE DELHI

On arrival you will be met by our representative and transfered to Hotel Qutab. Afternoon half day city tour of
New Delhi. Visit the Parliament house & Presidents Palace, visit India Gate, Humayun's tomb, lotus temple,
Qutab Minar & a Modern Hindu temple. Evening free. Dinner & Overnight in Hotel

DAY 02

DELHI > LEH

Early morning after breakfast, transfer to domestic airport to board flight at 0540 hrs for Leh. On arrival at Leh airport,
you will be met by our representative and escorted transfer to Hotel. Complete day for acclimatization. In the
evening take a stroll in and around Leh bazaar. Return to hotel for Dinner & Overnight

DAY 03

LEH > SABU

Morning after breakfast visist Shankar Gompa before leaving by surface for Sabu Village. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel

DAY 04

SABU > DIGAR VILLAGE

Morning after breakfast, begin your trek with a ride on horses, to reach the campsite at Polu Digar. Trek through
the lovely grazing areas to the campsite. From this vantage point, the Stok mountains appear to float majestically
above the Indus valley. Set up camp. balance day free. Dinner & overnight in Tents/ Village hospitality

DAY 05

DIGAR > DIGAR LA PASS > AGYAM

Morning after breakfast, Make an early start to cross the 17,230 ft. Digar La. From the top, views stretch south to
the Zanskar range and north to the Saser range, Ladakh's highest peaks. The descent is steady and you stop
by a lovely meandering stream at Chumik Yogma for lunch. Continue trek down through the village of Digar
to the tiny settlement of Aghyam. On arrival pitch camp. Dinner & Overnight in tents.

DAY 06

AGYAM > KHALSAR

Morning after breakfast, begin your trek to Khalsar Village. On arrival pitch camp. Dinner & Overnight in tents.

DAY 07

KHALSAR > SUMUR > DISKIT

Morning after breakfast, begin your trek to Sumur. Visit Samtenling Gompa and trek onwards to Diskit. On arrival
pitch tents. After lunch, visit the 350 year old Diskit Gompa. Return to camp for Dinner & Overnight in tents

DAY 08

DISKIT > HUNDER

Morning after breakfast, begin your trek to Hunder via the historic "Mane Wall". On arrival camp in one
of the largest village in the valley - Thang Lasgo. Dinner & Overnight in tents

DAY 09

HUNDER > LALAUNG - LA PASS

Morning after breakfast, begin your trek to Dok pass (5300m). Trek across Lalung - La, also known as the
Dok Pass and set up camp on the other side of the pass. Meals & Overnight in tents

DAY 10

LA PASS > PHYANG

Morning after breakfast, Visit Phyang Gompa built in the 15th Century by King Tashi Namgyal. It was an act of
atonement for the sins he had committed to get the throne. The monks in the monastery belong to the
Kargyud Sect. Return to village camp site for Dinner & Overnight in tents

DAY 11

PHYANG > LEH

Morning after breakfast, drive to Leh. On arrival check into hotel. Afternoon city tour visiting a few
interesting Gompas and palaces of Indus valley. Return to hotel for Dinner & Overnight

DAY 12

LEH > DELHI

Morning after breakfast, in time transfer to the airport to board flight at 0735 hrs for Delhi. Later on arrival
at 0850 hrs, you will be met by our representative and transfered to Hotel Qutab. Afternoon half day city tour of
Old Delhi, visiting Red fort, the Jumma Masjid and Chandni Chowk. Return to hotel via the memorial of Mahatma
Gandhi at Raj Ghat. Balance day at leisure. Overnight in Hotel.

DAY 13

DEPART DELHI

In time transfer to International airport to connect flight for onward journey.
You have the option of extending your stay in Delhi and visit Agra & Jaipur
